Overhead storage racks
The best space in your garage is over your head
Bins on the floor take the spot your car should have. Overhead racks move the things you touch twice a year up into dead space, mounted into your ceiling joists and rated to hold real weight. Pick a package, we install it, and you park inside again.
Prebuilt packages
Three ways to start
Fixed packages, fixed scope, installed in a day. No design meeting required — pick the one that matches how much you need off the floor.
Single rack
One overhead rack, placed where it clears your garage door track and your tallest vehicle.
- One 4' × 8' overhead rack
- Rated to 500 lb
- Mounted into ceiling joists, not drywall anchors
- Drop height set to clear your door and vehicle
Double rack
Two racks mounted side by side or on opposite bays, for households storing seasonal bins, camping gear and luggage together.
- Two 4' × 8' overhead racks
- Rated to 500 lb each, 1,000 lb across both
- Laid out together so loading stays reachable
- Mounted into ceiling joists, not drywall anchors
Double rack + slat wall
Two overhead racks plus a 4' × 8' slat wall panel, so the long-handled things come off the floor too.
- Everything in the double rack package
- One 4' × 8' slat wall panel, installed level and into studs
- Includes $100 worth of accessory hooks
- Rakes, shovels, bikes and ladders off the floor
Bigger garage, or a layout of your own
The packages cover most two- and three-car garages. If you want more racks, a longer run of slat wall, or racks combined with a Full Reset and new flooring while the garage is empty, we’ll quote it as one job.
Why it’s worth having installed
The hard part is the ceiling, not the rack
The box comes with instructions. What it doesn’t come with is a way to find your joists through drywall, hold eighty pounds of steel overhead while you level it, and know how close you can get to the door track.
Into the joists, every time
Every mounting point lands in structure. We locate and verify joists before anything goes up, because a rack anchored into drywall is a rack that comes down loaded.
Measured against your door
Garage door tracks, opener rails and springs all live in the same space. We set placement and drop height so your door runs clear and your vehicle still fits underneath.
Level and loaded
Racks go up level, hardware gets torqued, and we load them with you so you can see where the weight should sit before we leave.
One visit
Packages are stocked and prebuilt, so there’s no ordering wait. Most installs are a few hours, start to finish, and we take the packaging with us.
Questions
Before you call
How high does my ceiling need to be?
Most garages work. What matters is the space between your garage door track and the ceiling, and how tall your vehicle is. Tell us your ceiling height and what you park, and we’ll tell you what fits before we come out.
Will it hold what I want to put up there?
Each rack is rated to 500 lb, spread across the rack rather than piled in one corner. Seasonal bins, luggage, camping gear and holiday decorations are what these are built for. Talk to us first about anything unusually heavy.
What if my garage is finished with drywall?
That’s normal and not a problem. We locate the joists behind the drywall and mount into those. Nothing structural gets cut.
Can I add racks to a Full Reset?
Yes, and it’s the easiest way to do it. The garage is already empty, so we mount the racks and put your keep items straight up into them instead of back on the floor. See the Full Reset.
Do I have to be home?
For the walkthrough at the start and the load at the end, yes. In between you can get on with your day.
